The "liberal progressives" (i.e., fascists) want to control everything you do, say, and even think.

In their Orwellian double speak, an attack on a US embassy is a "spontaneous protest," a shooting spree by a Muslim shouting "Allahu Akbar" is "workplace violence," and a minor dispute over grazing fees (in which no one was killed or injured) is "terrorism." And the NRA is a "terrorist organization," but somehow the parent organization of Al Qaeda is not.

And trying to influence legislation is now "terrorism," instead of lobbying? All legislation benefits someone or other. A tax cut benefits the rich, increasing Social Security pensions would benefit retired people, tuition loans benefit college students, and so on. If you write a letter to your congressperson asking for increased funding for food stamps, or to prevent cuts in veterans' benefits, or for better enforcement of the Americans with Disabilities Act, are you a "terrorist" because you are trying to influence government action on behalf of a particular group?

And it's the usual double standard: leftists want to be free to demand anti-gun laws, or to criticize a Republican governor or senator, or to hurl epithets and make wild accusations. But if you express an opinion contrary to theirs, you are guilty of terrorism and/or "hate speech." Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
