The tragedy is that the NRA...No argument here, SA. The tragedy is that the NRA would still have a vital role to play, even if all the anti-gun dragons were slain (an outcome I see as rather unlikely)--the same role they played before becoming heavily involved in gun politics.

Unfortunately, that role doesn't pay nearly so handsomely, and they don't seem eager to return to it.Kurt '45superman' Hofmannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14091930034162667742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34529754.post-72330746751168303772007-12-18T13:29:00.000-06:002007-12-18T13:29:00.000-06:00I still assert that the NRA is much more favorably...I still assert that the NRA is much more favorably disposed to keeping the problem than to finding the solution. There is no financial reward after the solution. All those "send more money" letters would be unnecessary.

Ergo, they fear the cure and profit from the disease. That's why I quit them.

I had no reason to send money to a lobby that wrote gun control laws when I had joined what I thought were like-minded people in the pursuit of restoration of rights.

Alas, the NRA were not and are not those people. They have folded every strong hand they have been dealt. And voluntarily split the pot when they held the winning hand.

I can be and have been betrayed for free, why would I pay for it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
