Independence and 'government monopoly on force' are mutually exclusive

There can be no independence when citizens must depend on armed agents of the government to come to rescue them--something the government is under no obligation to do--when predatory evil threatens.

There can be no independence when citizens must
depend on the government being willing to "license" their Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms.

And finally, there can be no independence when citizens must
depend on the government to honor the Constitutional limits on its power, without we the people having the means to enforce those limits. [More]
