'Gun control' pushers hope to exploit Zimmerman verdict for more oppressive laws

Stand Your Ground did not kill Trayvon Martin, and neither did the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals ruling, that bearing arms is an individual right protected by the Second Amendment, just as keeping them is. On the other hand, concealed carry might have saved George Zimmerman's life.

And "gun control" pushers can't stand that. [More]

That's today's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner. Please give it a look, and tell a friend.

  1. The MSM have tried to turn this case into a referendum on stand-your-ground laws and carrying weapons in general. Reporters repeatedly asked the attorneys about stand-your-ground, even after both teams (the defense and prosecution) said that it was not relevant in this case.

  2. One gets the feeling that, if Martin had been stabbed to death by a mugger, there would have been no publicity about it. Or, if there had been, Obama would still have responded to the tragedy by calling for more gun laws. And now the CSGV, VPC, and MAIG can add Martin's name to the list of "victims of gun violence." Along with Christopher Dorner, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, Emil Matasaraneau, Billy "the Kid" Bonney, Butch Cassidy, Clyde Barrow, "Baby Face" Nelson, and Ike Clanton.
