'SAFE' in New York apparently means in prison

Benjamin Franklin is reported to have said something along the lines (the exact wording varies from source to source) of, "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

New Yorkers, though, are ordered to give up a great deal of "essential liberty," and for only the illusion of "a little temporary safety." The greatest outrage of all is that the vast majority of them will undoubtedly comply. [More]

Sarah Brady's ire at Gov. Haley's gun gift prompts Ghost of Christmas Past visit

Oh, by the way, Brady did have something to say about the reminder that her outrage over Gov. Haley's gift reeks of hypocrisy--she told her Twitter followers not to listen to such blasphemy. Brady clearly did not enjoy this visit from the Ghost of Christmas Past. Our job is to make a visit from the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come even more traumatic for her. [More]

'Assault weapon' bans punish the disabled--and everyone else

Sergeant Walker is presumably an able-bodied man, but he too is much more effectively armed with a so-called "assault weapon" (although some would have us call them "patrol rifles" when in cops' hands) than with a handgun.

In a very real sense, those advocating "assault weapon" bans--for either the disabled or the able-bodied--are trying to outlaw accurate shooting. Evidently, they care no more for innocent bystanders than for gun owners. [More]

Gun owners increasingly expected to cater to irrational fears of hoplophobes

In other words, it's useful to be terrified of guns--at least those not carried by the government's hired muscle. That perhaps begs the question of "'useful' to whom?" In seeking that answer, one cannot help but observe that it serves the purposes of the "government monopoly on force" zealots rather well. That, of course, makes it "useful" to the enemies of our way of life.

That should be all we need to know about it. [More]

Noting link between forced disarmament, genocide does not 'trivialize Holocaust'

That's why those bent on genocidal tyranny insist on a "government monopoly on force." Is it not fair to ask, then, why the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence and Congressman Jerrold Nadler demand the same thing?

If anyone is "trivializing the Holocaust," it is those who wish to silence any who raise the alarm about policies that will make the next Holocaust more difficult to thwart. [More]

Arapahoe shooter and Hudak: CO proves evil cowards fold in face of resistance

The lesson here is that the enemy--whether the sick sack of filth who can find validation only in the commission of mass murder during the waning moments of his own scrofulous life, or the self-righteous busybodies who empower said filth by denying the rest of us means of effective countermeasures--cannot win if we refuse to submit. That refusal, then, is the only honorable option. [More]

Sunnyvale, CA 'high capacity' mag ban also affects cops, but not enough of them

Sunnyvale's Measure C is an intolerable assault on that which shall not be infringed, but the fact that it applies even to "Only Ones" mitigates the evil to some extent--or would, if it applied to them even when they are on the taxpayers' time. [More]

'Activist investors' try to bully Amazon into dropping 'bump fire' stocks

The other side despises us, with a hatred that transcends life and death. They want us dead, but failing that, they will hurt us any way they can. If that reduces them to economic violence against the gun industry, and even anyone remotely connected to the industry, they will happily use that weapon. [More]

MAIG director threatens America with Bloomberg's 'whole foot'

Glaze may be correct that Americans have not yet seen Bloomberg's "whole foot." We do have a pretty good idea of what it's wrapped in, though. [More]

When it comes to guns, Dr. Ben Carson still doesn't get it

If Carson does make a presidential run, and if he wants the gun rights advocate vote--and it's hard to imagine him getting far without it--he has a great deal to learn, and not much time in which to learn it. [More]

NYC warning letters: Proof once again that gun registration equals confiscation

I hate to kick NYC gun owners when they're down, but this is the not-at-all unpredictable consequence of their compliance with the registration law in the first place. When bullies see that those whom they seek to dominate will submit to that dominance, they are emboldened to push the bullying still further. Now the gun owners' choices are to comply, again, or resist--probably not in the cards for the sort who would comply with the registration edict in the first place. There was an alternative, you know. [More]

CSGV says it's anti-American to decry violent seizure of Native Americans' land

CSGV wants to be seen as "protector of minorities," no matter how much revision of history that requires, and no matter how clearly their favored policies disproportionately disarm the very people they claim to "protect." Now, Native Americans have a brand new reason to ask CSGV some pointed questions about just whose side they are really on. [More]

Katie Couric leaps aboard 'undetectable gun' hysteria bandwagon

That, of course, is precisely what is so exciting about this technology--the fact that it promises to put the final nail in the coffin of the government's hopes of disarming those whom the regime has designated "unsuitable" to exercise the Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms.

To Couric and her guests, that's the "dark side" of 3-D printing technology--the fact that we the people can use it to help enforce shall not be infringed. [More]

CSGV supports brutal, corrupt government thugs, demonizes the liberators

Then again, given CSGV's insistence that not even the government rounding up people based on race or religion, and packing them off to concentration camps justifies armed resistance, it is probably not so surprising that corrupt, brutal oppression also fails to meet their standards for justification of armed resistance. To CSGV, we the people have no legitimate line in the sand to guard with our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

But we won't be asking them, or anyone else, for permission. [More]

Oath-breaking Army officer wants to enforce citizen disarmament against America

House passes 'Undetectable Firearms Act' renewal, with 1 'No' vote

And the best news of all is that no law Congress passes can do anything about that. Anyone who has any doubts about that statement is encouraged to check out the Terminal Cornucopia website, featuring weapons designs that can be quickly built from materials one can easily and legally obtain after passing through airport screening measures, with tools that one could legally have brought along. The sidebar video shows the "BlunderBusinessClass" shotgun, but that's only one of several impressive designs.. [More]

CSGV outrage over pic doesn't extend to law enforcement target of pregnant woman

And actually, that's not so surprising, either. CSGV, after all, is not really opposed to "gun violence," at least not when committed by agents of the government. What offends CSGV is "gun violence" against would-be tyrants and their enforcers. That's to be expected from a group that not only advocates a "government monopoly on violence," but wants the government to make extensive use of it, as well. [More]

'Nuclear option' will boost Congressional 'productivity' in trampling gun rights

And sure, that's hard to dispute, as far as it goes. On the other hand, of course, an executioner's duty is to kill people, but even those who have no objection to capital punishment would hardly want him going about that job willy-nilly. The Framers, after all, also knew that the purpose of government was to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

That cannot happen if Congress is allowed to be "productive" enough to "finish the job" the gun ban jihadists want done. [More]
