St. Louis teenager suspected of 'knockout game' violence picks wrong victim

Murphy's perhaps not so tragically premature death is not the only reason for this to be a good time to talk about the "knockout game." Keep in mind these mobs can number in the dozens (the pack that put Matt Quain in the hospital is estimated to have numbered about 18).

Now, keep in mind that one of the forcible citizen disarmament lobby's (and the Obama administration's, and the Democrat leadership's, and mass media's) top three goals at the federal level is a ban of "high capacity" magazines. Now we're told that even supposedly "pro-gun" congressmen--of both parties--might be ready to cave on sending people to prison for possessing an 11-round magazine (for up to ten years), just as they seem prepared to send them to prison for buying or selling guns privately. [More]

That's today's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner. Please give it a look, and tell a friend.

Make ‘Five Phone Calls for Freedom’
GRNC Alert 2-21-13: Fight Pending Attack by Obama Radicals
http://www.grnc.org/grnc-alerts-archive/424-grnc-alert-2-21-13-fight-pending-attack-by-obama-radicals

To fight back against this left wing attack, we are asking millions of Second Amendment supporters, represented by the Coalition and others, to deliver a loud and clear message to Congress by making 5 phone calls on Monday and Tuesday (Feb. 25 & 26). Please note that we said CALL, not email. We want millions of voices to ring through the congressional switchboard, so please note that you might have to try several times to get through.

Specifically, we are asking you to call:

1. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell at 202-224-2541

2. House Speaker John Boehner at 202-225-0600

3. Senator Richard Burr at 202-224-3154

4. Senator Kay Hagan at 202-224-6342

5. Your representative to the U.S. House. To identify your US House representative, go to: http://www.house.gov/representatives/ and then enter your zip code in the upper right corner of the page.

DELIVER THIS MESSAGE
Give congressional staff 3 simple talking points:

1. Nothing about the federal proposals is acceptable – not banning semi-automatic firearms and magazines, not expanding the list of people prohibited from owning guns, and not registering private gun sales via the National Instant Check System;

2. Because “compromise” means losing freedom, you will not “compromise” on this issue, including any “lite” version of registering private sales through the National Instant Check System; and

3. As a member of one of the organizations comprising the National Coalition to Stop the Gun Ban, you will support coordinated Coalition action against any legislator who supports gun control.

The anti-gun groups will undoubtedly count Demetrius Murphy in their statistics as another "child killed in a handgun accident." And the MSM will make him sound like a Boy Scout, and they will portray the homeowner as a right-wing nut. The homeowner may even get railroaded to federal prison for violating the intruder's civil rights.

Even if it were possible to eliminate all guns, the "knockout game" is proof that it would not prevent any crimes. Criminals don't need weapons, because they choose the time, the place, and the victim. The knockout game also proves that there is a real need for honest citizens to have high-capacity firearms, and to be able to carry them in public.
