That's today's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner. Please give it a look, and tell a friend.Even more fundamentally than that, of course, as National Gun Rights Examiner David Codrea so succinctly explains, "But you go right ahead, Sparky, rewrite things to your heart's content. Now all you've got you do is enforce it." Again, good luck with that. [More]
Mission statement:
Armed and Safe is a gun rights advocacy blog, with the mission of debunking the "logic" of the enemies of the Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms.

Gun prohibitionists' attempts to rewrite 2nd Amendment are a good thing

Bill Maher, Michael Moore, and the New York Times editors have also all advocated repealing the Second Amendment, thus at least tacitly admitting that it protects an individual right to own weapons. If I were to rewrite or amend the US Constitution, it would be to add an amendment specifically recognizing a civilian right to keep and bear arms, with no ifs, ands, or buts. I would also include a preamble to the Bill of Rights explaining that the document does not "grant" rights or privileges, it officially acknowledges rights that citizens already had.
The proposed "improvement" would make it clear that only government employees have a right to own weapons. So, presumably, liberals do not consider revolution against dictatorship a legitimate reason to own weapons. But Obama wants to supply weapons to the rebels in Syria. Typical double standard.
