This letter to the editor, written by Barbara Hudson, Blanco County (Texas) Democratic Party Chairperson, certainly takes an . . . interesting approach to courting the gun owner vote.
Democrats will protect Americans’ Second Amendment right to own firearms, and will keep guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists by fighting gun crime, reauthorizing the assault weapons ban, and closing the gun show loophole, as President Bush proposed and failed to do. Democrats passed the Brady Law and the Assault Weapons Ban. We increased federal, state and local gun crime prosecution by 22 percent since 1992. Now gun crime is down 35 percent. Now we must do even more. We need mandatory child safety locks, especially for hand guns. Requirements should be a photo license I. D., a background check, and a gun safety test to buy a handgun.I suppose one might say that Barbara is promising a Democratic "Blanket of Protection" for gun rights.
That's one raggedy blanket.

I can’t believe the ramblings of this rabid Bi***. The majority of the her so-called “gun crimes” were innocent actions the democrats have over the past few years converted into criminal acts. The democrats have created the crises they now want to fix by throwing more and more legal citizen gun owners into jail. Barbara Hudson may not have any intention of attempting to get legislation passed by the Texas Legislature but her statements make it pretty obvious that her agenda includes action against our 2nd Amendment rights on the federal level, and the feds don’t give a Big Rat’s A** about our state and local laws.

It's really hard to believe that crap like Hudson wrote actually came out of a Texas woman's brain.
She must spend the majority of her time seated in the lotus position, humming, "Obamamamamama Obamamamamama Obamamamamama ........"
Even though I live a few hundred miles from Blanco County I'm actually ashamed to share air with her.
