Guess I struck a nerve

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV) "blocked" my Twitter feed (and those of many other gun rights advocates) months ago--our "insurrectionism" was apparently too terrifying for them.

Or maybe not. Perhaps their "taking their ball and going home" act was just for show, because when I sent a tweet their way about today's column, they noticed it in a hurry:

The latest in gun nuttery: Insurrectionists threatening to make AK-47s out of printers if new gun laws enacted....
Even funnier though, was their Facebook post about it, and the comments:

So now I'm not only an "insurrectionist, but a "traitor to our government," as well?

As for the "toaster" reference, I can only assume that CSGV mouthpiece Ladd Everitt is enjoying some recreational pharmacology. Accept the reality or not, Ladd--home 3-d printing of scary "assault weapon" receivers is coming--fast.

Ladd doesn't really understand technology. He didn't know about screencaps until last year. ;)

CSGV are nothing but a bunch of open nerves in human body form.
I am amazed that they are not marching with the rest of the Occupy crowd

@Third: Yeah--and he still frequently has trouble with Facebook links on Twitter.

@Miguel: Yep--and isn't it funny that the "Occupiers" don't have a single entry in the "Insurrectionism Timeline," despite their enthusiastic chanting along with Cornel West's "Don't be afraid to say 'revolution'," and this sick POS, saying "Ultimately, violence will be necessary"?

Wait till they hear about the fact that anyone can just machine their own lower with normal machine shop tools!!!!

Quick, someone tell them.

I somehow missed your post in December, Sean. That's along the same lines I was discussing in today's column, but what you're talking about still requires some degree of skill, eliminating mechanically inept klutzes like me.

I'm convinced that soon, even a knuckledragger like me will be just a few mouse clicks away from a fully functional lower receiver.

Wait-you guys are making these?

I want a number 6 and a Boomer to go, please.

Yeah--that does seem like a more than incremental advance, doesn't it?

If you use a 4 slot toaster to build your assault rifle, that's 4 30rd mags without reloading. That would make Ladd ruin his BVD's.

Thanks a million for that mental image ;-).

Has a toaster? You mean the Fru-Fru Bang-Bang?

My god, as awesome as the original Fru-Fru Bang-Bang was, imagine the high capacity 4 slot version!

@Sean: Very nice--but does it butter the toast?
