That's today's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner. Please give it a look, and tell a friend. So, "many believe" that although Chicago's draconian gun laws have done nothing to reduce the "sky high" rate of "gun violence," what will work is a statewide denial of judges' discretion in sentencing even those who are only in violation of the law because Illinois is dragging its feet in meeting its Constitutional obligation to permit defensive firearm carry? Who are these "many," and what can be done to get them the mental health care they so desperately need?
Zalewski, Rosenberg, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and every other supporter of HB 2265 want to force decent, peaceable Illinoisans to choose between risking years in prison--and risking their lives. That is what is criminal. [More]
Mission statement:
Armed and Safe is a gun rights advocacy blog, with the mission of debunking the "logic" of the enemies of the Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms.

Of course, the leftists want mandatory sentences for honest citizens who violate unjust laws. But those same leftists want to let muggers and carjackers out of jail before their victims are discharged from the hospital.
When are those on the left going to realize that its not guns that are the problem its the people who carry them? Chicago’s murder rate is so high its almost like living in a 3rd world country. The more restrictive the laws become for law-abiding citizens the more the crime rate and murder rate to going to go up. Criminals don’t follow these laws that’s why they are criminals.
