Even compliance with Connecticut 'assault weapon' ban not enough for gun-haters

All that said, Stag is not necessarily above reproach here. Rather than trying so hard to obey an evil law, jumping through Connecticut's byzantine legal hoops, in order to make some kind of watered-down, not particularly useful "regime change rifle," Stag really ought to consider taking its quality jobs and its tax revenue out of Connecticut, and moving to somewhere in the United States. If you call the IRS and ask for information about which form you are supposed to use to file your tax return, are you trying to "evade" the tax laws? If your legs are paralyzed and you call the DMV or Highway Patrol and ask about how to apply for a DP (handicapped) parking permit, are you trying to circumvent the traffic laws? If the government wants people to obey laws, it has an obligation to make the law clear and understandable.

The obvious fact is, governments intentionally make laws and regulations vague and ambiguous, so they can interpret them any way that they want. Then they can prosecute you for not obeying the "spirit" or "intent" of the law. They even pass laws that contradict each other, so that if you obey one law, you can be prosecuted for violating another one.
