Oregon teacher proposes to end school shootings by disarming self-employed

Perhaps the most disturbing facet of this is that Needler, a "gun control" cultist, is paid as a science teacher for our youth. This does not bode well for the future of our nation's scientific capability. [More]

That's today's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner. Please give it a look, and tell a friend--and Facebook "likes" and "shares" are hugely appreciated.

Of course, the problem has to be "lax gun regulation." It's politically incorrect to blame a crime on the criminal who committed it.

"Lax gun regulation." Like the 1968 federal law that prohibits gun ownership by convicted criminals, psychotics, drug addicts, dishonorably discharged veterans, minors, and people who are legally insane or incompetent. Or the 20,000 state gun control laws and local gun ordinances.

The tragedy in Oregon proves that (1) anti-gun laws are usually ineffective, either because they are impractical or unreasonable, or because they are not being enforced efficiently, and (2) the only effective response to would-be mass murderers is to have armed good guys on the scene.

Every mass shooting in the US in the past fifty years took place in a so-called "gun-free zone," and every one of them ended when it encountered armed resistance.

And, speaking of Israel, they have armed civilian volunteers guarding their schools. That program was implemented after the Maalot massacre, and there has not been a mass school shooting since. The one massacre of Israeli school children in recent years happened during a field trip to a park near the Jordanian border. At the request of the Jordanian government, the Israeli chaperons were unarmed.
