Anti-gunners wage war of annihilation on gun culture

If the Constitutionally guaranteed, fundamental human right of the individual to keep and bear arms cannot be crushed right now, the forcible citizen disarmament fanatics will be patient. It might take a generation or two, but if their side is the only one with any soldiers, the outcome is not difficult to predict.

When toy guns are outlawed, only outlaws' kids will be worth a damn in a fight against tyranny. [More]

That's today's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner. Please give it a look, and tell a friend.

Great. The church is on a crusade to save us from the menace of kids playing cops-and-robbers or cowboys-and-Indians. Meanwhile, a kid wrestles a real weapon away from a thug who was threatening to use it. Instead of a medal, the heroic kid gets a suspension. The inmates have taken over the asylum.

The kid in Florida who pointed a loaded firearm at another student was charged with ADW "without intent" to kill. Apparently, pulling a real, loaded weapon on someone is a less serious offense than playing with a toy gun (or biting a pastry into the shape of a gun). And yet it is the NRA that gets blamed for violent crime.

You seem to have summed the situation up pretty accurately, Anon.

Who elected Jim Carrey the judge of whose life is worth protecting? And why do the opinions of ignoramus actors and comedians get publicity, as if these people were experts? Why don't the media get some input from people (e.g., experienced street cops) who might actually know what they are talking about? (And don't let me get started on movie stars making millions, while cops and firefighters are moonlighting to make ends meet.)
