But doesn't it have a choice? The NRA didn't have to choose North Carolina. With all the NRA's lobbying for state laws that would prevent property owners from implementing "gun free" policies, is this not an odd choice of places to bring $20 million of members' money? Is it sensible for the tax revenue generated on that $20 million to go to a state that not only allows property owners to ban guns, but actively requires the convention center to ban them?
