Will 'pro-gun' Sen. Vitter jump on anti-gun 'terrorism' hysteria bandwagon?

Sen. Vitter has not only an "A" grade from the NRA, but an "A+" from the much harder to please Gun Owners of America, who have very rarely had reason to quibble with his votes. If he supports this bill, look for a great many other "Second Amendment supporters" in Congress to do the same. The mere fact that he is publicly considering doing so provides some cover for Congressmen who are tempted to support the legislation, but are reluctant to tarnish their "pro-gun" credibility. [More]
