Will British gun laws get any more restrictive? Is that even possible?

The point is that someone sick enough to commit mass evil will either acquire what he needs despite laws banning that acquisition, or make do with what he can get--no "assault weapons" bans, background checks, magazine capacity limits, closure of mythical "gun show loopholes," etc., are going to stop him.
