An observation about the VA Tech shooting

I share the grief and rage over the senseless massacre on the campus of VA Tech, and my thoughts are with the wounded, and the families of those killed. Like Mr. Codrea, I can't help but note that the death toll may have been vastly lower, had the killer not had such a soft target.

This article is about the legislative death, in January of 2006, of a bill that would have deprived the killer of his helpless victims.

Virginia Tech spokesman Larry Hincker was happy to hear the bill was defeated. "I'm sure the university community is appreciative of the General Assembly's actions because this will help parents, students, faculty and visitors feel safe on our campus."
Is Mr. Hincker still happy, I wonder, about the legislature having provided the illusion of safety?

the answer is yes, he is. His kind hates the self preservation aspect of guns. He thinks that guns are the only thing that can kill. His kind spends the entire time your child is in school filling them with that propaganda.

Anyone in VA needs to print that article and hand it out. In fact, everyone needs to do that. Make it known that this COULD have been prevented, not by laws that make more victims, but by less laws against the people of that state and this nation.

There will be much hand wringing over this tragic incident.
I am certain that there were students that could have and would have stopped the goblin in his tracks if they were allowed to carry a weapon. This incident will divide the country.
The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

So let us be the squeaky wheel. One of the first witnesses interviewed by Fox was a girl who stated that she recognised gunfire because she had been target shooting from a young age. She is just one of many who could have put a stop to this carnage quickly if allowed.

Believe me, JR--I plan to squeak, alright.

I'm trying to squeak, and that's about all my voice will do right now. Glad it's cold or the neighbors might think I was crazy for yelling at the liars and hypocrites on TV and radio yesterday.

Sent the articles that deal with the issues of the CCW as well as the ones WOG has linked up to a whole bunch of talk show folks to try to get the facts out.

Quinn and rose (warroom.com) are reading about HB 1572 now. Lets hope some of the bigger shows pick it up.

Nice work, HH.

Blaming guns was forscean, it is the banner that Un-Americans wish to control free peoples with. Even if a bomb was used instead of a gun the anti-gunners would still be shooting there mouths off for the need of stricter gun control.

had the radio on all day, seems that it's being talked about on quite a few national shows, at least talk radio. Glenn Beck, Dennis Prager, think even rush mentioned it.

I hardly watch TV, so no idea there. I guess that would be the biggest place since most people watch TV.

at least the word's getting out.

The Shady Bradys, etal, have upped the ante. Now they are actually calling (screaming?) for the abolition of the 2A.

It's good to see them forced to admit that their goals cannot be accomplished without gutting the Bill of Rights.
