Jimmy Carter thinks millions of Americans are aspiring cop-killers, mass murderers

With that paragraph, Carter leaves no room for doubt about what he thinks of the millions of Americans who own so-called "assault weapons." Our one-term ex-president is apparently uninterested in addressing the question of, if the reason to own such firearms is to kill cops or engage in mass slaughter, why are there any living police officers, and why are mass shootings rare enough to be national news for weeks on end, given the millions of these firearms owned by Americans?
