Finally, when anti-gun people speak of the "gun show loophole," what they really mean is "private sales loophole." Once they ban private sales at gun shows, they'll come after them everywhere else. Illinois is a case in point. The so-called "loophole" was closed there in 2005, but they've been trying to ban every other private sale ever since, with the Illinois Council to Prevent Gun Violence (ICPGV) listing that as their highest priority.That's today's St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner. Any help spreading the word (with a digg, perhaps?) is appreciated.
Closing the "gun show loophole," despite the insignificance of gun shows as a source of "gun violence," seems to be what the gun-haters have identified as the low-hanging fruit. [More]
