Magazine ban effort ramps up, along with volume and heat of rhetoric

The gun ban lobby is, of course, ecstatic about getting some attention for one of their perennial wish list chart-toppers, with the Brady Campaign, the Violence Policy Center, and the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence all putting out press releases, releasing "studies," and talking to anyone who will listen. Given the attitudes of the mass media, they're getting their audience.

The video in the sidebar shows MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell getting particularly fussy and strident with Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ), over the magazine ban issue. He gets so fussy, in fact, that he seems to have had some problems with logic and accuracy. [More]
