'Respect' for 'different gun cultures'; contempt for 2nd Amendment activists

Anyway, Mr. Bard apparently believes that if these two cultures really, really focus their will on trying to understand and respect each other's point of view, some kind of accommodation can (somehow) be reached--although he has very little in the way of nuts and bolts details to offer about this rainbows and unicorns vision of his.

Even without such details, it is rather apparent that he is urging participants in the debate to compromise--blissfully unconcerned, evidently, with the fact that in a debate about fundamental human rights, the word "compromise" can be nothing more than a doomed attempt to slap a disguise of honor on abject, contemptible surrender.
