Lots of Pfleger goodies from War on Guns

While I'm talking about "Father" Pfleger (and also while I'm following David Codrea around like a puppy dog), I might as well pass along this good stuff.

First, he found Pfleger referring to gun rights advocates as "low lifes." Here's the video clip of the interview. Now I don't condone sinking to his level, and making threats of physical violence (if he's not lying about that, too--the way he lied about not knowing what "snuff out" means), but as the saying goes, if you're going to kick a tiger in the ass, you had better have a plan for dealing with the teeth.

Next, in talking about the Hannity and Colmes segment I mentioned here, Mr. Codrea reminds us that in the long run, we're more likely to give Pfleger the kinds of problems he so richly deserves, by hammering his abuse of the Church's tax-exempt status (something that Mr. Codrea has discussed for a long time).

David thinks that is the angle by which any real, long-term damage can be done to Pfleger's operations, and I tend to agree.

I seem to remember another Chicago thug who was finally brought down on tax issues.

I'm going to start a thread on IllinoisCarry.com to try to set up some kind of march to inspect their books.

I didn't even hit the link to know you were referring to Capone. The big difference is that Capone was cutting into state power.

Pfegler is involved in strengthening state power at the expense of the citizen. Oh yeah, and to the benefit of the criminal, though that may be a redundant statement.

Good point about the difference between Pfleger and Capone, SA. Like most parallels, the one I made only works to a certain, limited extent.

Father Pfleger is a good pastor and mentor to the community. He fights for what is right and what is real. That's the problem with you people. You're so quick to pass judgment on something that you obviously know nothing about. We do need tougher gun laws. Children are dying by the minute and no one seems to do anything about it. What would it take for you people to get the picture? Does your child or your family member have to die to gun violence before you start to think that hey maybe guns are to accessible to our children. Look at what happened in Virginia Tech. Am I starting to ring a bell yet with you people?! Or do you have that much hate in your hearts that you refuse to stand up for our children... stand up for your children... stand up for our children's children!

And by the way, you should be careful how to speak of the Lord’s children. Because you know what… No weapon formed against Mike Pfleger will prosper and any tongue that speaks against him will be condemned. So take that…
