Latest county pro-2A resolution update for Illinois

Check out this video from a news segment about the introduction to the Champaign County Board of the kind of resolution I have been tracking (most recently here)

That makes nine counties (Shelby, Brown, Pike, Schuyler, Hancock, Johnson, Randolph, White, and Greene) with the resolution on the books, and at least another nine that have it proposed for consideration on the county board agenda. Probably close to two dozen more have an effort underway.

Daley, Blagojevich, Kotowski, and all the rest of you aspiring tyrants, get off the tracks--a train is coming.

Could this be the start of the battle to beat back Tammany Hall politics?

It's just like the old days. A corrupt political organization gets its hooks in the big city, and delivers votes to the politician that is the best "team player".

So they've been robbing Peter to pay Paul, but it is an unexpected turn of events that Paul doesn't feel like voting anymore. He just wants what's coming to him.

...in other words, keep your big city politics in the big city, boys.

I was born in Illinois in 1951. Left for fairer pastures in '84 with few regrets.
For as long as I was there Chicago and Cook county were leaches sucking the blood of downstate for their own benefits. Sorry to see nothing has changed. Does look like they will finally succeed in driving a number of gun related industries clustered around the Quad Cities across the river at least thereby putting even more strain on the state economy.
Y'all need to saw that corner off before the infection destroys the whole state.

Feel Good Legislation such as Cook County and Chicago gun laws do not work. They still have one of the highest murder rates in the state. Law abiding citizens should be allowed to defend themselves with firearms and for that matter they should be able to Carry and Conceal like they do in 48 other states. I hope people wake up in Illinois or the Northern Illinois Democrats will remove our right to have any kind of firearm.
